Your Donation Counts!

AgeOptions serves more than 200,000 older adults and people with disabilities in suburban Cook County each year, connecting them and their families with resources and services so they can live their lives to the fullest.

Your donation will have a direct impact on the lives of older adults and people with disabilities in suburban Cook County.

By supporting AgeOptions, you enable us to ensure that resources and service options are available, and you allow us to develop and expand programs in response to their changing needs and expectations.

To make a secure online donation, please click the PayPal link above. If you prefer to speak with someone, please call us at (708)383-0258.

At AgeOptions we think resourcefully and work vigorously so older adults and people with disabilities are able to:

  • Live meaningful lives
  • Maintain independent lifestyles
  • Manage self care
  • Find and use resources for care and assistance
  • Be healthy and safe
  • Avoid fraud, abuse and neglect
  • Know and protect their rights

A donation to AgeOptions is a perfect way to honor or remember a family member or friend, or to commemorate an event such as an anniversary, birthday or the arrival of a child or grandchild. Please contact Vera Lewis at (708)383-0258 or to create your special recognition.

Cy-Pres Awards

AgeOptions is available to receive cy-pres funds in the following areas.

Caring Together, Living Better (CTLB)

Caring Together, Living Better is a partnership of faith-based and community organizations dedicated to supporting the approximately one in four west suburban families that are caring for an older adult.

CTLB started in 2009 with seven south suburban African-American churches, Metropolitan Family services, CJE SeniorLife and Catholic Charities collaborating to provide relief for community members who care for older adults.

The west suburban CTLB partnership in Bellwood, Cicero, Maywood and Melrose Park is building a community-driven support system for those who care for older adults. AgeOptions is the project leader, with partners Solutions for Care and Aging Care Connections, along with churches and community organizations.

Make Medicare Work Coalition (MMW)

The Make Medicare Work Coalition (MMW) is a collaboration to promote access to affordable health care options in Illinois. MMW is led by AgeOptions, Health & Disability Advocates, and Progress Center for Independent Living.

MMW provides materials, training and technical assistance to professionals serving older adults and people with disabilities to enable them to help their clients access health care and prescription drug services and supports. MMW was created through support from the Michael Reese Health Trust, the Retirement Research Foundation and the Chicago Community Trust.

Illinois Financial Abuse Specialty Team (iFAST)

The Illinois Financial Abuse Specialist Team (iFAST) is a multi-disciplinary collaborative dedicated to preventing elder financial exploitation, the most commonly reported form of abuse against older adults.

AgeOptions developed iFAST in 2013 as a targeted effort to prevent financial exploitation of older adults in the metropolitan Chicago area. It is a powerful collaboration among social service organizations, county and state law enforcement, financial institutions, legal services and state agencies to address the systemic fragmentation in addressing elder financial exploitation in Cook County.
